A coating changes how the surface behaves. Film changes what reaches the surface at all. It is physically thick enough to absorb an impact that would otherwise chip the paint, and the top layer closes fine scratches with heat.

Each piece is fitted with a slip solution, squeegeed out, and the edges wrapped where the panel allows so no line is visible. The car then needs a short curing period before washing.
